  3. Free of Heat: The engine must be cool; avoid driving for an hour before your appointment.

  4. Even Surface: Ensure your vehicle is on a hard, level surface.

Do you have a shop where I can bring my car?

Our mechanics come to you and provide services at the convenience of your home or office. We do not have a shop location where you can bring your car.

What is Fixty?

The service is not only convenient, but also more affordable. Since our mechanics are mobile, we have significantly lower overhead costs compared to auto shops. We negotiate better prices from auto parts vendors and pass these savings on to you.

What are your hours?

Our office is open Monday - Sunday 8am - 6pm. Our mechanics set their own hours, but in most of our service areas, mechanics are available from 7am to 9pm, 7 days a week.

Is there an additional fee for the mechanic to come to my location?

No, we don’t charge a drive fee or convenience fee. However, if our mechanic performs a diagnosis and finds the issue, but you choose not to proceed with the repair, we will charge a diagnostic fee. This fee covers the mechanic’s time and expertise in identifying the problem.

Am I supposed to tip the mechanic?

Our mechanics do not expect a tip of any kind, but If you are satisfied with the service, please recommend the mechanic to your friends. You may also want to write a review on their profile and rate us on Yelp.

What if the mechanic finds that my car needs more or fewer services than I had requested?

You remain in charge. If our mechanic determines that not all requested services are necessary, we'll remove them and adjust your bill accordingly. If additional repairs are needed, our mechanic will provide a detailed list of recommendations. You can choose whether to proceed with these additional services or not.

Is there a fee for a mechanic to diagnose my car?

Yes. We charge a diagnostic $150, which covers the inspection and travel costs.

How is the price calculated?

Our pricing is determined by our Fair Price Calculator, based on decades of car repair data and the industry-standard labor guide. Parts prices come directly from our wholesalers. Our online pricing system is transparent and fair.

I don’t know what’s wrong with my car. What can I do?

You can book an appointment for a mechanic to come out to you and inspect your car. They will provide their inspection report and recommend services that your car needs.

Can I choose a mechanic?

You can choose the same mechanic if you have used the service before. If you are a new customer, we assign you a mechanic who is qualified to work on your car.

What if the mechanic is late?

Please remember to allow 30 minutes for your mechanic to arrive. Sometimes mechanics get caught in traffic or a previous job takes longer than expected. We do apologize if this is the case. If you have not heard from your mechanic by your appointment time, please give us a call at 1-855-347-2779 and we will work to resolve the issue. If you need to reschedule, we will take care of this for you as well.

Where can I find my receipt?

We will email you a copy of the receipt and service report after the mechanic has finished working on your car. You can access your receipt any time through your online account.

What is the warranty on labor and parts?

We stand behind the workmanship and parts provided by mechanics on our platform. Every service booked through YourMechanic comes with our 12-month / 12,000-mile (whichever comes first) warranty, measured from the date the services are provided and the odometer reading shown on the applicable invoice. How do mechanics work with Fixty?

Fixty is a network of expert mobile mechanics. Independent mechanics apply and undergo a two-step screening process:

  1. Background check, skills assessment, and interview. Only 5-10% are approved.

  2. Approved mechanics can accept jobs and are rated by customers to maintain high service standards.

Can I pay by check?

We apologize, but we do not accept checks.
