How much does Shopmonkey cost?

Shopmonkey publishes a starting figure, and it is the annual billing rate. Here is what that covers, what their own pages put outside the plan, and the number this page does not print.

The short answer

Shopmonkey advertises a starting price of $215 per month on annual billing. That is the cheapest figure on their pricing page, and the billing basis is theirs, not ours: the sentence they lead with offers plans starting from that amount with annual pricing discounts.

The plan that figure buys is called Basic. Paying month to month costs more than $215 per month, and this page does not print that higher number. Their pricing card shows both.

Read it on the Shopmonkey pricing page

Two things make a shop software price hard to pin down, and Shopmonkey has both. The first is the billing basis: the headline number is what you pay per month when you have already paid for the year, and paying monthly costs more. The second is that their feature pages describe the product rather than the package, so a capability being real is not the same as it being on the plan you are pricing.

This page separates the two. Everything Shopmonkey says about its own price is quoted below with the page it came from and the date we read it, and where their pages did not answer a question, that is written down as not found rather than guessed at.

Every cell above was read from the Shopmonkey site and is quoted with the page it came from. The whole record was last re-read on August 29, 2026. Where a cell says we could not confirm something, that means exactly that: we did not find it, which is not the same as it not existing.

The figure this page does not state: the month to month rate for the Basic plan

It is higher than the annual figure above. Shopmonkey shows it on the plan card as a struck through number rather than in a sentence, and this page only prints figures it can quote from a sentence on the source. Working it out from the discount would be arithmetic rather than evidence, so this page sends you to the card that carries it.

What their pages put outside the plan price

Two capabilities are tied on their own site to something other than the plan you subscribe to. Customer self booking is one: their FAQ says that CRM Essentials includes an Appointment Scheduler that lets customers book their own appointments through your shop website, which puts the booking page inside a named package rather than in the base plan. If customers booking themselves is the reason you are shopping, price that package, not the headline.

Team access is the other. Their team management page describes inviting service writers, technicians and others with multiple user licenses. What a licence costs was not on any page we read, so this page does not put a number on it. On a one van operation it may not matter at all, and that is the point of naming it: the entry price is a one person price.

Everything else Shopmonkey publishes reads as product level rather than plan level: inventory and purchase orders, digital vehicle inspections, two way texting, card readers and remote payment links, QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop. We could not confirm from their pages which of those sit on the entry plan and which arrive higher up, so this page does not claim either way.

A demo, and no trial we could find

What Shopmonkey offers before you pay is a walkthrough. Their pricing page invites you to see how Shopmonkey fits your shop in a quick, no pressure walkthrough, which in practice is a scheduled call of roughly half an hour rather than a login you can poke at on a Sunday.

We looked for a free trial on their pricing page, their FAQ, their home page and their mobile mechanic page, and did not find one offered. That is an absence of evidence, not a denial: it is a fair question to put to whoever runs the demo, and if the answer is yes then their site is quieter about it than it could be.

Shopmonkey does sell to mobile mechanics

It is tempting to assume a shop management system is bay only, and for Shopmonkey that assumption is wrong. They run a mobile mechanic page of their own, and it says the platform brings scheduling, communication, payments, reports and more into a single, easy to use platform built for mobile repair work.

So the question is not whether the product will accept you. It is whether you are paying for the half of it that assumes a building: real time stock and purchase orders, tire shop tooling, several user licences, a front counter. Those are the parts of Shopmonkey that a van does not use, and they are also the parts Fixty does not have at all.

Is Shopmonkey worth it for a one van operation?

On price alone the comparison only works if you say which basis you are on, so here it is both ways. Shopmonkey advertises $215 per month when you pay for a year up front; their month to month rate is higher than that and this page does not state it. Fixty Starter is $99 per month billed monthly, with no annual commitment involved in that figure.

What the extra buys is a shop. Inventory on a shelf, purchase orders, licences for the people who work for you, tire and wheel tooling, an accounting handoff into QuickBooks. Fixty has none of those, and if you are running a bay with technicians in it, that gap is the whole answer and you should be looking at Shopmonkey.

If you work out of a van by yourself, most of that budget is buying a building you do not have. That is the honest case for a cheaper, narrower tool, and it is also the case for asking on their demo which package the pieces you actually need are on, because a headline price for a plan that does not include your booking page is not the price you would pay.

When Shopmonkey is worth the money

  • You run a bay with several technicians. Shopmonkey sells multiple user licenses, per employee permissions, time clocks and commission tracking as core product, and Fixty is built around a single mechanic.
  • You hold parts or tires in stock. Shopmonkey has real time inventory tracking, purchase orders and low stock alerts, plus direct ordering through PartsTech, RepairLink and Nexpart. Fixty has no inventory module.
  • You are a tire shop. Shopmonkey ships tooling aimed at that trade specifically, including tire and parts inventory across locations, which Fixty does not offer.
  • Your books already live in QuickBooks. Shopmonkey states integrations with QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop, so the accounting handoff is a supported path rather than an export.

Questions people ask about this

Is $215 per month what I would actually pay for Shopmonkey?

Only on annual billing. That is the figure Shopmonkey advertises with annual pricing discounts, for the plan they call Basic. Paying month to month costs more, and this page does not state the higher number. Their own pricing card shows both.

Does Shopmonkey have a free trial?

We did not find one. Their pricing page, their FAQ, their home page and their mobile mechanic page all point at a demo instead: in their words, a quick, no pressure walkthrough of how Shopmonkey fits your shop. Not finding a trial is not the same as there being none, so it is worth asking on the call.

How does Shopmonkey pricing compare with Fixty?

Fixty publishes Starter at $99/mo and Growth at $149/mo, both billed monthly, and Growth + AI at $249/mo, which is waitlist only and not purchasable today. Starter runs a 14 day free trial: a card is collected at signup and charged on day 14, and you can cancel before then. Growth is billed in full at signup and has no trial. Set against that, Shopmonkey advertises $215 per month on annual billing, which is above Starter at $99/mo, and their month to month rate is higher again. The gap is not only a discount: Shopmonkey carries parts inventory, multiple user licences and tire shop tooling, and Fixty carries none of those.

Is Shopmonkey built for mobile mechanics?

They market to them directly. Their mobile mechanic page says the platform brings scheduling, communication, payments, reports and more into a single, easy to use platform built for mobile repair work. Whether it is worth the price for one van is a different question from whether it works, and it turns on how much of the shop half of the product you would ever open.
