Comparison
Fixty vs Shopmonkey
Shopmonkey sells shop management software and runs a page of its own for mobile repair work. Fixty is one mechanic, one van, one phone. Here is what each side actually says, quoted.
The easy version of this comparison would tell you Shopmonkey is bay software that forgot mobile mechanics exist. That is not true, and you would catch it in about ten seconds: they publish a page aimed squarely at mobile repair work, and the sentence is quoted in the table below with the URL it came from.
So the real question is not whether Shopmonkey will serve you. It is what shape the product assumes and what you are paying for. Shopmonkey is built around a business with technicians, parts on a shelf and a counter someone stands behind. Every one of those is a real capability, and every one of them is something you pay for whether you have a shelf or not.
Fixty assumes the opposite: one person who writes the estimate at the curb, texts it, gets it approved line by line, and takes the card before packing up. That focus costs Fixty real rows in the table below, and the section directly under the table names every one of them rather than hiding them.

Every cell in the Shopmonkey column was read from Shopmonkey's own site and is quoted above with the page it came from. The whole record was last re-read on August 29, 2026. Where a cell says we could not confirm something, that means exactly that: we did not find it, which is not the same as it not existing.

When Shopmonkey is the better choice
- You run a bay with several technicians. Shopmonkey sells multiple user licenses, per employee permissions, time clocks and commission tracking as core product, and Fixty is built around a single mechanic.
- You hold parts or tires in stock. Shopmonkey has real time inventory tracking, purchase orders and low stock alerts, plus direct ordering through PartsTech, RepairLink and Nexpart. Fixty has no inventory module.
- You are a tire shop. Shopmonkey ships tooling aimed at that trade specifically, including tire and parts inventory across locations, which Fixty does not offer.
- Your books already live in QuickBooks. Shopmonkey states integrations with QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop, so the accounting handoff is a supported path rather than an export.
What Fixty does not do
Fixty answers no on 5 of the 16 rows above: route optimization, parts inventory management, multi technician teams, tire and wheel shop tools and accounting sync. They are collected here rather than left scattered through the table, because a row you have to hunt for is a row that was hidden.
Route optimization is the one worth saying out loud. Fixty does not plan the driving order of your day. It was advertised once by mistake and the claim was retracted, and 5 of the 12 products compared across this cluster publish a route optimization feature on their own sites: Jobber, Housecall Pro, ServiceTitan, Trackara Pro and Deelo.
We looked for one on Shopmonkey's own site and could not confirm it, so that cell lists the pages that were opened rather than guessing at an answer.
Shopmonkey already sells to mobile mechanics
Their site carries a page written for mobile repair work, describing scheduling, communication, payments and reporting in one platform for it. That is their sentence, not ours, and it is in the table above with the page it came from and the date it was read.
Where the two products genuinely diverge is who is holding the phone. Shopmonkey describes its dedicated phone app as a tool for technicians, with the owner and the service writer working in the web app. That is why the phone workflow row reads Partial rather than Yes: their own words scope it. In a shop that split makes sense, because those are different people. In a van they are the same person, and every handoff between a phone app and a desktop is a handoff to yourself.
If you have a technician, a counter or a shelf, that shape is an advantage rather than a compromise, and the section on when Shopmonkey is the better choice says so plainly.
The two Shopmonkey cells nobody could fill
Two rows in the table say we looked and could not confirm this. That is a real finding and it is deliberately not written as a No.
Route optimization: every URL in their sitemap was checked for routing, dispatch, GPS and navigation wording, along with their workflow, scheduling, mobile app, fleet and mobile mechanic pages. Nothing matched. That is an absence of evidence on their marketing site, which is not the same as the feature not existing, so the cell records what was searched instead of guessing.
A free trial: the pricing page, the FAQ, the homepage and the mobile mechanic page were read looking for one. What those pages offer is a demo walkthrough. Again, recorded as not found.
This matters more than it looks. The previous version of this page carried a confident claim about Shopmonkey and route optimization that nobody could source, and it was wrong. The type behind these cells now makes that claim unwritable: a value is either quoted from their site or marked as unfound, and there is no third option.
What the price gap actually buys
Both companies publish a price without a sales call, which is rarer in this category than it sounds: one of the six vendors compared across this cluster publishes no price at all. Shopmonkey lists a starting monthly rate on annual billing, quoted in the table with the page it came from, and it is meaningfully more than Fixty Starter.
Fixty Starter at $99/mo runs a 14 day free trial: a card is collected at signup and charged on day 14, and you can cancel before then.
The gap is not a discount on the same thing. Their entry price carries inventory, purchase orders, multiple user licences and a tire trade product. If you need any of that, the cheaper tool is the wrong tool and no comparison table should talk you out of it. If you do not, you are paying for a shop you do not have.
Questions people ask about Shopmonkey
- Is Shopmonkey good for mobile mechanics?
- Shopmonkey publishes a page for mobile repair work and describes bringing scheduling, communication, payments and reports into one platform built for it, so the answer is not a flat no. What their product assumes is a shop: technicians on licences, parts inventory, purchase orders and a tire trade product. If you work alone from a van and want the whole job to run from a phone, that is what Fixty is built around, and this page quotes both sides so you can judge the fit yourself.
- Does Shopmonkey have a free trial?
- We could not confirm one. Their pricing page, FAQ, homepage and mobile mechanic page were read on August 29, 2026 and what they offer is a demo walkthrough, described as a quick no pressure look at how Shopmonkey fits your shop. That is recorded as not found rather than as a no, because a marketing page staying silent is not evidence a thing does not exist. Fixty Starter at $99/mo runs a 14 day free trial: a card is collected at signup and charged on day 14, and you can cancel before then.
- Does Shopmonkey do route optimization?
- We could not confirm it. Every URL in their sitemap plus their workflow, scheduling, mobile app and fleet pages were checked for routing, dispatch, GPS and navigation wording and none matched, so the cell records what was searched. Fixty does not do route optimization either: it was advertised once by mistake and the claim was retracted. If planning the driving order of a day is the deciding feature, ServiceTitan, Jobber and Housecall Pro each publish one on their own sites.
