Switching from AutoLeap

AutoLeap alternatives for mobile repair

This is the one page in this set where the honest opening is that the product you are leaving is not the wrong shape for your work. So the useful question is which of the other reasons is actually yours.

Looking for the row by row table instead? Fixty vs AutoLeap

What actually moves, and what does not

The fact that sets your timeline: there is no upload screen in Fixty and nobody builds the product around your shop before you start. Your customer list can still come across, because support loads it with you from whatever AutoLeap hands back. What does not happen is a setup project that has to finish before you are allowed to work.

That distinction matters more here than on the other pages in this set, because a system built around your shop information before day one is exactly what AutoLeap offers instead of a trial. If the reason you are looking is that the setup felt heavy, this is the trade you are making: you open an account and write your first job the same day, and the question of your existing list is handled beside that rather than in front of it.

The move itself is a shop to shop move, which is the easy kind. Both systems know what a vehicle is, so year, make, model, plate and mileage mean the same thing on both sides and nothing is lost in translation. The judgement left to you is how much of the file is worth sending, and it is usually less than all of it. Keep AutoLeap readable while it is paid for and let the customers you still have prove it by booking.

  1. Ask for the export while the account is live

Customers, vehicles, repair orders and invoices, requested in writing before the renewal date. What a vendor gives back on the way out is not something we have sourced from their own site, so get it from them.

  2. There is no page to upload it to

The list goes to support and comes back loaded, so your side of it is choosing the file and answering questions about it. Between two auto repair systems the columns mean roughly what they look like, which keeps that short.

  3. Inspection reports and photos do not travel

The digital inspections you have already sent stay in the system that created them. Keep the export somewhere searchable, because these are the records customers ask about later.

  4. Stock and tire storage have nowhere to land

Fixty tracks parts on a job, not stock on a shelf, and has no tire storage. If you are holding either, decide where they live before you cancel rather than after.

  5. Overlap for a few weeks

New work in one system, history in the other, and cancel when a full week passes without opening AutoLeap.

What you give up by leaving AutoLeap

AutoLeap is a full shop product and Fixty is not. Everything below is quoted from their own pages, and all of it is genuinely absent from Fixty rather than smaller.

Fixty: No. Fixty tracks parts on a job, not stock on a shelf.

When AutoLeap is the better choice, in full

  • You have technicians on payroll rather than only yourself. AutoLeap publishes a technician app that assigns jobs to named techs and tracks their time; Fixty is one mechanic in one workspace and does not do this.
  • You hold parts on a shelf or tires in storage. AutoLeap sources live stock levels, supplier ordering inside the repair order, and a whole tire storage suite. Fixty tracks parts on a job and has none of that.
  • Your books live in QuickBooks. AutoLeap sells a QuickBooks Online sync as a headline feature; Fixty has no accounting integration at all today.
  • You would rather be sold to than sign up alone. AutoLeap does not offer a trial of the shop software; what they offer instead is a personalized demo and a system built around your shop data before you start, which is more hand holding than Fixty gives you.

Every AutoLeap claim on this page was read from their own site, is quoted with the page it came from, and was last re-read on August 29, 2026. Where a cell says we could not confirm something, that is what it means: we looked and did not find it, which is not the same as it not existing.

AutoLeap is not the wrong shape for mobile repair, so what is your actual reason

Most alternatives pages open by explaining why the incumbent does not understand your business. That argument is not available here, and pretending otherwise would cost this page the reader it is written for. AutoLeap runs a page for exactly this trade, and it says:

Yes

Built for mobile mechanics who work from a van, not a shop.

autoleap.com/mobile-mechanic-software, read August 29, 2026

So if you are shopping, it is probably about the vendor rather than the fit, and three vendor facts come up repeatedly. The first is what it costs to start:

Cheapest published monthly price, billed annually

$179 per month

Power your shop with #1 Auto Repair Software starting at $179/mo. Flexible monthly and annual plans designed to streamline operations for shops of any size.

What you get to try before you buy

Demo only, no free trial of the shop software

AutoLeap doesn’t offer a free trial due to the fact that we custom-build the system with your necessary shop information. However, we encourage you to see AutoLeap in action during a personalized demo.

autoleap.com/pricing, read August 29, 2026

The second is that same answer read as a process rather than a price: there is no way to run your own jobs through it before you commit, so the decision is made from a demo. The third is that the product is a full shop system, which means you are paying for inventory, tire storage and technician management whether or not your van has any of them. Those are three legitimate reasons to move and none of them is about whether the software understands mobile work.

If your reason is none of the three, be careful. Switching software to fix a habit is the most expensive way to not fix the habit.

How to read a route planning claim, including ours

This section exists because we got this exact thing wrong once, on our own site, about a competitor. It is worth knowing how to check, because route planning is the feature mobile mechanics ask about most and the one marketing copy is loosest about.

AutoLeap heads a section of their mobile page with route wording. Here is the sentence underneath it, which is the part that decides what the software actually does:

Partial

Plan your day and service area from any device, sequence jobs by location, fit more work into the same hours, and reduce drive time between customers.

autoleap.com/mobile-mechanic-software, read August 29, 2026

Read it twice. It describes planning your day and sequencing jobs by location, which is route aware scheduling that you do. It does not describe a solver that takes your stops for tomorrow and puts them in order for you. Both are useful and they are not the same product, and the difference is invisible if you only read the heading. The test that works on any vendor: ignore the headline, find the sentence with a verb in it, and ask who is doing the verb.

Then apply it to us. Fixty does not do route optimisation. Not a lighter version, not a planned one. It was advertised once by mistake, the claim was retracted, and the row still reads no in our own comparison table because deleting the row would be the tidier lie. If a solver ordering your stops is the thing you are shopping for, neither of these two products is it, and you should go and look at the home service tools that publish one.

Who should not switch to Fixty

Fixty is one mechanic, one workspace, no stock, no tire storage, no technicians and no accounting sync. AutoLeap has all of those. Four kinds of mobile operator should stay exactly where they are.

You have technicians on payroll, or you will this year

AutoLeap assigns jobs to named techs and tracks their time. Fixty has one workspace for one person and no second seat at any price.

You carry stock in the van or store tires for customers

Live stock levels, supplier ordering inside the repair order and a tire storage suite are AutoLeap features. Fixty tracks parts on a job and stops there.

Your books run through QuickBooks and the sync is automatic today

Fixty has no accounting integration. Everything reaching your books would reach it by hand.

You value being set up by somebody else

AutoLeap builds the system around your shop information before you start. Fixty hands you an empty account and expects you to fill it in, which is faster and lonelier.

Alternatives to AutoLeap that are not Fixty

A page listing one alternative is a sales page. Here are the others we hold sourced data on, with who each one fits. If your issue with AutoLeap is that a full shop system is more than a van needs, note that two of these three are also full shop systems and you would be buying the same thing again.

Shopmonkey

Fits you if: You want the full shop feature set and named accounting integrations, and you would rather have a bigger platform than a lower bill.

The catch: The highest published entry price of the products here, a demo rather than a trial, and self booking sold separately from the plan.

In their own words

Yes

Shopmonkey brings scheduling, communication, payments, reports, and more into a single, easy-to-use platform built for mobile repair work.

We sell one of the options on this page, so read the quotes rather than our summary of them. Each price above is the cheapest monthly figure that vendor publishes, which is usually the annually billed rate. Paying month to month generally costs more.

Questions people ask before they switch

Is AutoLeap good for mobile mechanics?

By their own description, yes. They run a page for mobile mechanics that says it is built for people who work from a van rather than a shop, and they describe managing the schedule, estimates, payments and vehicle history from any device at a job site. If you are looking at alternatives, it is worth being clear that fit is probably not the reason.

Does AutoLeap have a free trial?

Not for the shop software. Their pricing FAQ says they do not offer a free trial because the system is custom built with your shop information, and offers a personalised demo instead. That is worth knowing in both directions: it is a reason some people leave, and having the product configured for you before day one is real help you give up when you start on an empty account instead.

Does AutoLeap optimise routes for a mobile mechanic?

Their mobile page describes planning your day and sequencing jobs by location to reduce drive time, which is route aware scheduling done by you rather than a solver ordering your stops. We record it as partial for that reason. Fixty does not do route optimisation at all.

Can I move my AutoLeap data into Fixty?

Not on your own and not from a screen, because there is no upload page. Send support what AutoLeap gives you and it gets loaded with you. Ask early: it is a person rather than a button, and no timescale has been attached to it.

If you are switching, start on one job

Do not migrate anything. Take your next job, write the estimate at the curb, text it, let the customer approve the lines they want, and take the card before you pack up. If that one job is better than the way you do it today, enter the next customer too.
