Switching from Deelo

Deelo alternatives

Their entry plan costs nothing and has no clock on it. This page is published by a product that charges, so it starts by admitting that and then makes the narrow case where paying is right.

What actually moves, and what does not

Nothing on this page is going to argue that free is expensive. Deelo publishes a free plan with no time limit, and at one user that is the entire business for a solo mechanic. If it is working, keep it. A CRM you already have and already use beats a better one you are still evaluating.

Two things usually break the arrangement, and neither is a feature list. The first is the add on: their pricing page puts phone numbers, SMS and voice outside the plan, which means the free tier does not text your customers. For a mobile mechanic that is most of the job, and it turns a free plan into a paid one the week you notice.

The second is the template. Their platform is sold across hundreds of industry pages with the same words rearranged, and the vehicle is a configuration rather than a product. That costs nothing until it costs everything: the day you want the history of one car across three years and find a pile of deals attached to a person.

  1. Price the add ons before comparing anything

Work out what texting and a number actually cost on top of the plan you are on. That total, not zero, is the figure to compare against anything else. A free plan you have added two paid services to is not a free plan.

  2. Export while the account is open

Customers, deals, estimates and invoices. Their own answer about accounting is a built in ledger plus a CSV export, so a CSV is likely what you get; ask them in writing what else comes out and in what format.

  3. The list is loaded by a person, not an upload screen

Fixty has no page to drop a file onto. Send the export to support, go through the columns with whoever picks it up, and decide together which rows are worth carrying.

  4. Decide what replaces the route ordering

Their field service app orders the day with a real distance calculation and hands off to a maps app. Fixty does not sequence stops at all. If you have been using it, try a week without it before you cancel.

  5. Overlap on purpose

Keep the free plan running. It costs nothing to leave it open while you find out whether the paid one earns its money, which is an advantage this particular migration has over every other page in this cluster.

What you give up by leaving Deelo

Rows where Deelo publishes a capability and Fixty publishes none. On a free plan, which makes them worth reading carefully rather than dismissing.

Route optimization

Fixty: No. Fixty does not do this. It was advertised once by mistake and the claim was retracted.

Deelo

Yes

Optimal daily route ordering with haversine distance calculation, drag-to-reorder, and Google Maps navigation links.

Parts inventory management

Fixty: No. Fixty tracks parts on a job, not stock on a shelf.

Deelo

Yes

Real-time stock levels with low stock alerts and reorder points.

Multi technician teams

Fixty: No. One mechanic, one workspace. Built solo first on purpose.

Deelo

Yes

Work orders spanning multiple days with trade-specific tasks, multi-technician scheduling, and daily progress tracking.

When Deelo is the better choice, in full

  • You are not ready to pay for software at all. Their entry plan costs nothing with no clock on it, and one user is the entire business for a solo mechanic. Against a Fixty plan that takes a card at signup, that is a genuinely better offer for someone testing whether a CRM helps.
  • You want the driving order of your day solved. Their field service app orders the day and hands off to Google Maps. Fixty does not plan routes and says so.
  • You want the estimate to go out by text with good, better and best options and come back approved. That is the one row where they do the same thing Fixty does, and they do it on a cheaper plan.
  • You need stock levels, reorder points and multi technician scheduling. All three are on their price list and none of them is in Fixty.
  • Your business is not only cars. The same subscription covers hundreds of trades, so an operator who also details, hauls or handles roadside gets one tool instead of two.
  • Against that, weigh what the breadth costs: no native phone app is claimed anywhere, the vehicle knowledge is a template swap rather than a product, and the inspection report they show off is on their auto repair page rather than their mobile mechanic one.

Every Deelo claim on this page was read from their own site, is quoted with the page it came from, and was last re-read on August 30, 2026. Where a cell says we could not confirm something, that is what it means: we looked and did not find it, which is not the same as it not existing.

The free plan does not text your customers

This is the one number that changes the arithmetic, and it is easy to miss because the capability genuinely exists. Their own description of where messaging lives:

Yes

Send and receive SMS/MMS with business numbers

deelo.ai/app/voice, read August 30, 2026

Business numbers, SMS and voice sit on their pricing page as an optional add on priced outside the plan. So the free tier gives you a CRM, estimates, invoices, a route optimizer and a booking page, and does not give you the channel a mobile mechanic actually works through. Whether that matters is a question about your customers rather than your software, and for most people in this trade the answer is that it matters a lot.

Fixty puts two way texting on every plan including the cheapest. That is not generosity, it is the same fact as everything else on this site: there is one plan shape because there is one kind of customer.

Where the industry template stops being a product

Their mobile mechanics page claims this trade in confident, specific language. So does every other industry page they publish, in the same words:

Businesses of any size across 275 industry pages. Their mobile mechanics page claims the trade in the same words their plumbing and dog grooming pages claim theirs.

Deelo's platform is purpose-built for mobile mechanics with industry-specific tools including Field Service, Fleet, Invoicing, and more.

deelo.ai/for/mobile-mechanics, read August 30, 2026

A platform sold to hundreds of industries from one codebase is not a bad thing. It is how you get fifty applications on a free plan, and nobody building for one trade could afford to ship that much. The question is only ever which parts were built for you and which were relabelled.

One tell is where the good vehicle content lives. Their inspection report, the one with the green, yellow and red severity ratings that a mechanic would actually use, is documented on their auto repair page rather than their mobile mechanics page:

Yes

Send customers photo-documented inspection reports with green-yellow-red severity ratings they can approve on their phone.

deelo.ai/for/auto-repair, read August 30, 2026

That is not a gotcha, it is a map. Go and read the auto repair vertical rather than the mobile mechanics one before you decide anything, because that is where they put the work.

What paying actually buys, with nothing rounded up

Three things, and it is a short list on purpose. The paperwork is built around a vehicle and its history rather than a deal attached to a contact. Two way texting is on every plan rather than an add on. And the estimate the customer approves, the card they pay with and the thread you talked to them in are one link rather than three products stitched together.

What it does not buy you is anything on the row above. No route ordering, no stock levels, no second user, no fifty other applications. On raw capability per pound, Deelo wins this comparison outright and it is not close.

So the test is narrow and you can run it on your own week. If your jobs arrive and complete without you ever needing the vehicle to be a first class thing, stay free. If you have started keeping a separate note of what you did to which car, that note is the missing product and it is what you would be paying for.

Who should not switch to Fixty

Most people who find this page should stay on Deelo, at least for now. These four especially.

You are not sure software helps yet

Their free plan has no clock on it and one user is your whole business. Paying to answer a question you can answer for nothing is a bad trade, and Fixty takes a card at signup on every plan.

Your business is not only cars

The same subscription covers hundreds of trades. An operator who details, hauls or does roadside under one name gets one tool instead of two. Fixty only knows vehicles.

The driving order of your day is the problem

They publish a real optimizer, down to the distance calculation and a hand off to maps. Fixty does not sequence stops at all, on any plan.

You need stock levels or a second person

Both are on their price list. Neither exists in Fixty at any price.

Alternatives to Deelo that are not Fixty

Fixty is not the only thing to move to, and on a page about leaving a free plan it would be strange to pretend so. Two of these are auto native and cheaper than Fixty.

ARI

Fits you if: You want to stay near free but get auto native paperwork. Their free tier also has no expiry, and their paid plan sits under Fixty money with QuickBooks and stock counting included.

The catch: The free tier is a usage cap at five each of invoices, estimates, inspections, clients and vehicles, so it shows you the product rather than carrying your week.

In their own words

Partial

The free trial is up to 5 Invoices, Estimates, Inspections, Clients, vehicles, and other items.

Trackara Pro

Fits you if: You liked the route optimizer and want one built for a single van, in a product that is only about mobile mechanics, at a flat rate with every feature included.

The catch: Their roadmap still lists card payment inside the invoice as being finished, and their texting goes out through your own phone rather than living in the software.

In their own words

Mobile mechanics and on site auto repair technicians, including the solo operator working out of a van. Small independent shops are named second, not first.

Trackara Pro is built for mobile mechanics, independent auto repair technicians, small mobile shops, and any professional who performs on-site auto repair services. If you work out of a van, at client locations, or run a small independent shop and need to manage clients, jobs, invoices, and business finances, Trackara Pro is for you.

QuoteIQ

Fits you if: You want a real CRM cheaply and your customers need to spread the cost of big repairs: consumer financing is on their entry plan.

The catch: It is a home service CRM, and their own pages put e-signatures, two way texting, self scheduling and route optimization above that entry plan.

In their own words

Yes

Essentials includes 1 user seat, 500 monthly IQ Credits, and the full core CRM: professional estimates and quoting, invoicing, scheduling and calendar, online payments via Stripe, and Consumer Financing via Stripe BNPL.

We sell one of the options on this page, so read the quotes rather than our summary of them. Each price above is the cheapest monthly figure that vendor publishes, which is usually the annually billed rate. Paying month to month generally costs more.

Questions people ask before they switch

Is Deelo really free?

The plan is, with no time limit, at one user. What is not included is the messaging: their pricing page puts business numbers, SMS and voice outside the plan as an add on. For a mobile mechanic that is the channel the job runs on, so price that before treating the total as zero.

Why would I pay for Fixty when Deelo is free?

Only three reasons, and if none apply you should not. The paperwork is built around a vehicle and its history. Two way texting is on every plan rather than an add on. And the estimate, the approval, the payment and the conversation are one link instead of several products. On raw capability for the money, Deelo wins and this page says so.

What does Fixty not do that Deelo does?

Route optimization, stock levels with reorder points, multiple technicians, and the several dozen other business applications on the same subscription. All of those are on their price list and none of them exists in Fixty at any price.

Can I keep Deelo running while I try Fixty?

Yes, and it is the one migration in this cluster where that costs nothing. Leave the free plan open, run new work through the paid tool, and if it does not earn its money you have lost only the trial period.

If you are switching, start on one job

Do not migrate anything. Take your next job, write the estimate at the curb, text it, let the customer approve the lines they want, and take the card before you pack up. If that one job is better than the way you do it today, enter the next customer too.

Try Fixty free for 14 days

Starter is 14 days free. A card is collected at signup and charged on day 14. Cancel any time and access runs to the end of the cycle you paid for.
